Brock University is a public research university located in St. Catharines, ON.

Brock University is named after Major-General Sir Isaac Brock. Brock commanded the British and Canadian forces during the War of 1812.

Brock lost his life during the Battle of Queenston Heights in 1812. This battle took place 20 km from the present-day site of the campus.

The university motto is Surgite! (Latin for “push on”), said to be Brock’s final words.

Brock University is situated in the Niagara Peninsula.
